This wedding brings so many tears to my eyes for so many reasons.  I have watched Sarah grow up in front of my camera since she was 16, and in a lot of ways it felt like watching my own little sister get married to the love of her life.  This family has come to mean so much to Stephen and I over the years having photographed Sarah’s brother’s weddings as well, and family portraits in between.  The most beautiful part of a job as a photographer is when clients become friends and even more so like family. A decade ago, I once shot this momma’s senior photos, and now she’s a wife and a mom to the cutest little girl.  Since her senior photos, she joined the military where she met her husband in Afghanistan and now are both back in the states with their little family.  I just can’t believe how quick time passes, but it was such a joy seeing this now mom laugh and snuggle with her sweet girl, who really enjoyed playing patty cake all through out the shoot! Over 10 years ago, I had the honor of documenting Katie & Adam’s wedding day in the beginning of my career then in the wedding industry.  And now fast forward all these years, and they have become a beautiful family of 4. “I don’t think we’ve had professional photos done since we got married,” Katie said.  “Usually our Christmas card photo is a quick photo my mom takes of us.”  I would say they were a little overdue for a family photo shoot! This little man is just 2 weeks younger than my sweet girl, and his momma has one of the most giving hearts I know.  We’ve enjoyed bonding over our little ones as they have grown this year, sharing stories of all the different changes and milestones, and I loved photographing this sweet family and their pup Copper too for their Christmas photos!  Here are some of the favorites from their family session!
