I love any excuse to dress up whether it’s throwing on a skirt, or a dress, or both.  Today I mixed things up and turned a dress from my boutique into a top instead.  While this cute polka dot bow dress normally looks great cinching it in with a waist belt, I couldn’t help but think that it would make a great blouse too.  So for my outfit of the week, I tucked the dress into an A-line skirt, and threw a red belt on top of it to match my bright red lipstick and red bottoms.  While I’m usually not a neutral colored wearing girl, I do love how you can add a statement pop color through an accessory to jazz up wearing something neutral. Happy Friday!  I’m a little late in getting this week’s outfit on the blog because we were traveling over the weekend, and then I came down with a nasty cold and most of my outfits this week have been my PJs sick in bed.  It was so weird to leave the 30-40 degree weather of Nashville and spend time back home in 80-90 degree Florida weather, so no wonder my immune system got busted.  But at least it gave me an opportunity to wear a short skirt and fishnet stockings again… at least for a moment.  But I admit, as the snow still melts off our deck now back in Nashville, I’m kind of liking this concept of a cold Christmas season.  It really does make it feel that much more festive.

What a fun day yesterday was with the launch of my brand new fashion boutique!!  We even got our first snow falling here in Nashville!  It was like the icing on my cupcake for my Grand Opening!
